Vienna
August 2022
Schönbrunn Palace was built in the Rococo style in the 1630s and 40s.
It served as the main summer residence of the Habsburg rulers.
The 1,441-room palace is one of the most important architectural,
cultural, and historic monuments in the country.
One of the highlights of our visit to Vienna was am amazing dinner at the Palais Pallavicini.
Not only were the setting, service and meal like something out of Downton Abbey,
we had an 8 piece orchestra, singers and dancers to entertain us exclusively.
At the Palais Auersperg, in the center of Vienna, we attented an
orchestral rehearsal. It was very interesting to have the Maestro
explain what he was trying to achieve and hear the players change
the way they played each piece to get what the Maestro wanted.
Onboard the MS Savor in the evening we were entertained
by the "Funny Guys", who put on a wonderful performance.
